White deck railing – If you are starting a deck building projects that are high enough to have a railing, the process will probably contain binding at least one end of the rack at the side of the house. The attachment need not be complicated and can be done quickly.
Measure the height between the upper and lower rails of the railing system, using a tape measure. Most white deck railing has a bottom and top rail with beams running vertically to connect them. Dimensions two-by-four board to the distance determined. Select the wood to length, with a pencil. Set a square of wood over the 4-inch side of the two-by-four, where the brand is and draw a line. Cut along the mark with a saw. For a clean, fast cut, use a circular saw. Set the cut two-by-four board so the length of the 4-inch side rests up against the end of the railing that will be up against the house.
Attach the board to the ends of the top and bottom railing bars, with a drill. Drill 2 1/2-inch galvanized screws to the ends. Position the white deck railing the same as the rest of the sections railing. The two-by-four end piece should be against the wall of the house. Drill the screws in the housing wall through the two-by-four. If you install vinyl siding, locate a stud and into the tire so that the railing will hit the spot. For brick, drilling in masonry screws and wood siding, drill into wood screws.
